Dave and Diane have been passionate about travel and exploration their entire lives. Dave grew up in Colorado and Diane in Michigan. We met on a hike near Portland, Oregon and lived for many years in Northern California. After having children, working hard, and travelling when our schedules allowed, we are now empty nesters and fully retired as of January 2022. In January of 2025 we started the downsizing process and in July 2025 we sold the house we had lived in for the past 25 years. We are now travelling full time around the world without a home or car back in the US. Our approach is evolving as we go, and we are always looking forward to more travel and exploring!
This travel blog was created to keep family and friends up to date on our adventures, and hopefully pass along some of the knowledge we are gathering along the way.
